How do I take a tincture?
Our tinctures are alcohol-free, which means they lack the typical intense burn you think of with other tinctures. You can take them directly on the tongue. You can also add them to your favorite beverage like water, seltzer, juice & tea. I like to add them to an ounce of water & shoot it down. But the preference is all yours! They only work if you take them.
Can I combine tinctures?
Sure thing! I often mix two of my favorites in a drink to start the day off. I suggest taking no more than 3 tincture blends at a time.
How do I know how much to take?
Each tincture has a dosage on the side. Always start with the lowest dose possible, and adjust as needed.
What is the shelf life of 5D tinctures?
Use your tincture within one year of opening. Alcohol-free tinctures (also known as glycerites) have a suggested shelf life of 3 years, but we prefer to air on the side of caution.
What is botanically elevated skincare?
Our products use whole plant extracts that take weeks to fully extract. This does not equate to essential oils, although a select few of our skincare products do contain essential oils. Most of our skincare is essential oil free and relies on our unique extraction process for gentle & effective skincare that is suitable for a wide range of skin types and skin conditions.
Should I use my face oil in addition to my moisturizer?
That question depends on many things- such as skin type, the current moisturizer you use, what cleanser you are using. But in general, we suggest supplementing your moisturizer with your new face oil or balm. You can read more about that in this blog post.
Where did founder Jayna Anderson study herbalism?
Jayna first studied herbalism at the Samara School of Community Herbalism in New Orleans. Ever the student, she is always immersed in a workshop or course somewhere. Some of her favorite recent courses include “Grandma’s Hands Pregnancy and Postpartum Herbs & Nutrition in the Southern Tradition” with Divine Birth Work, and online courses with Blue Otter School, amongst others.
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our products, we firmly do not accept returns. Read more here.
How long does it take for my product to ship?
Orders typically go out on Wednesday. If you order Wednesday evening, there is a chance it may not ship until Wednesday. We do our best to get your orders out as quickly as possible.
Are your products safe during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding?
Always consult with your trusted healthcare provider about any herbal regimen you are on, or before starting a new herbal regimen.
Do you have samples?
Nope. But we periodically offer discounts to newsletter subscribers. This is your best opportunity to try something new.
Do you ship Internationally?
Yes! We have shipped as far as Australia. Be advised that there may be customs delays that are out of our control. If your international package is returned to us, you are responsible for paying to re-ship the package.
